Our mission is to empower every family in the United States with access to affordable, high-quality support along the path to a great education, from preschool to college.

Our Operating Principles

You Always Come First

We always put the needs of families and students first. We represent no one’s interests but yours. Ever.

We Put You In Charge

We provide guidance and honest advice, but you set the course. We never act without your permission or make choices for you. Our job is to help you get what you want.

We Treat You Like Family

We share your sense of urgency. We respond quickly, take your concerns seriously, and always treat you with dignity and respect. Your problems are our problems.

We Find A Way

We don’t let systems, processes, paperwork or unwritten rules get in the way of doing right by a family or student. We find a way to make it happen.

We Protect Your Privacy

We maintain best-in-class privacy controls to protect you. We never share information about you or your children without your consent.

We Level The Playing Field

We champion the right of all families to an excellent education, especially those who have faced disadvantages in the past.

We Care About Kids

EdNavigator is committed to keeping children safe. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, exploitation, or violence toward children. All EdNavigator staff are trained in recognizing child abuse, and staff that work directly with families (our Navigators) are expected to behave as mandated reporters. If you need support in learning more about child abuse or mandated reporting, please consult Childhelp at http://childhelp.org/.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We honor our differences. At EdNavigator, we believe diversity makes us a stronger organization. We acknowledge, value, and leverage the different backgrounds, perspectives, experiences, and talents that each of us brings to our work together. We strive to build a team that reflects the families and communities we support.

We champion equity, internally and externally. EdNavigator’s work is rooted in the goal of increasing equity in educational opportunity and outcomes. We align our policies, practices, strategies, and resources to advance this goal and ensure that EdNavigator employees of every race, ethnicity, social background, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, and national origin have genuine opportunities to thrive.

We cultivate an open, connected, and inclusive culture. Individually and together, we strive to create an inclusive culture that welcomes all voices and inspires us to be our authentic selves, try new things, speak openly, and be bold. We recognize this as an ongoing and collective endeavor and regularly reflect on and improve the practices, behaviors, and ways of working that shape this culture.
