Marina Capetillo (she/her/hers)

Marina began her education career in New York City as an Early Intervention Coordinator before joining the NYC Teaching Fellows program. She taught special education in Harlem for five years, focusing on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and earned a master’s degree in Special Education from Long Island University. After relocating to Los Angeles, Marina spent seven years as an inclusion teacher, served as the Special Education Department Chair, and acted as the Compliance Lead, ensuring adherence to state and federal guidelines in collaboration with outside providers and the Department of Rehabilitation. Now residing in Sacramento, Marina enjoys exploring Northern California with her family.
