Daphney Landry (she/her/hers)
Growing up in a military family, Daphney Landry attended schools across the country before graduating from the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts. After earning a degree in Political Science from Howard University in 2014, she followed in the footsteps of other family members who served as educators in New Orleans and its surrounding areas for generations, becoming an early childhood and special education teacher through the TeachNOLA program. She spent the next seven years teaching third grade math and social studies, and has served as a teacher mentor, math content specialist, and case manager supporting students with exceptionalities. She was named Math Teacher of the Year in 2016 and nominated multiple times for the New Orleans Excellence in Teaching Award. In addition to her BA, she holds a MS in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
